Commonly used models of stainless steel are: 201 202 304 316 430
What we call stainless steel every day does not simply mean "non-rusting steel". Its full name is called "stainless acid-resistant steel", which not only does not rust, but also resists acid corrosion. According to the ability to resist acid corrosion, there are many grades, and the four we want to talk about today are some of the many grades.
The so-called 304 or 316 are all grades of the American ASTM standard.
Of course, they all have corresponding national brand numbers, but why don't we say the brand name of the national standard? Because the national brand number is too complicated, taking 304 stainless steel as an example, the national brand number is called "06Cr19Ni10".
The difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel
Among the components of stainless steel, 304 and 316 are the most used, they can be used not only as the inner tank of the thermos flask, but also into a variety of cooking utensils and appliances. It is also a food-grade material, which is safe enough to use in daily life.
304 stainless steel contains about 18% chromium and more than 8% nickel; On this basis, 316 stainless steel also adds 2% molybdenum, and the corrosion resistance is more superior.
In addition, there are 201 series and 430 series stainless steel, which are much weaker in quality and advantages than the above two, so the utilization rate is not high.
In fact, some of the tableware we use daily is actually made of 304 stainless steel, and
304 stainless steel is characterized by acid and alkali resistance, so the stainless steel tableware we usually use only needs to be able to resist acid and alkali.
